Course content :

- immunotherapies
- stem cells and cell-based therapies
- gene therapies
- RNA-based therapies
- microbiota and therapies
Course content is susceptible to change as a function of technological advances in biotechnology related to therapeutics.
Tutorials:
- Selection of scientific publications on topics related to a therapeutic innovation
- Small-group work for critical analysis of publications
- Oral presentation of publications by groups of students in English
- General discussion

Compétences à acquérir

Objectives in terms of knowledge:
Introduce students to technological innovations related to biotechnologies that are under clinical development or already used in therapeutics.
Objectives of the teaching methods that will be used:
Develop teamwork and skills to critically analyze scientific publications.

Objectives in terms of acquired skills:
Ability to:
- discuss innovative approaches in biotechnology under clinical development or used in therapeutics
- perform literature searches on a proposed subject
- critically analyze a scientific publication with his/her group
- write a short summary of a scientific publication
- present orally in English the analyzed publication
- answer questions related to the work he/she has done
