Description du contenu de l'enseignement

This lecture aims to offer to students an insight into the field of cross cultural issues and cross board project management by paying particularly attention to political, economic, social and country specific aspects. After a short introduction into general cross-cultural issues, the lecture presents the basic cross-cultural management styles and deals with suitable communication tech-niques. In a second step, the courses apprehends commonly used project management tech-niques by highlighting personal skills needed for project managers as well as juridical and organ-izational aspects that should be taken into consideration in the context of cross-border coopera-tion.

Compétences à acquérir

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to
- (level 1) Define issues and objectives of a project
- (level 2) Classify the different work packages to a group of tasks
- (level 4) Calculate a budget
- (level 4) Compare management styles in France with those of other countries
- (level 5) Compose a project plan
- (level 6) Defend the project in front of a jury
